About Zamzam Halal Supermarket

Halal Meat and Grocery Store

Zamzam Halal Supermarket is an asian grocery store in Fremont, California. It is listed at 40645 Fremont Blvd, Fremont, CA 94538, which places it among the local businesses of Fremont that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as supermarket, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 9 am–7 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (510) 226-1777. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

Its Google rating stands at 3.3 out of 5 from 369 reviews, which is below average for the category; consider the recent reviews carefully before visiting.

Fremont is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Fremont is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Horrible Customer Service. I am a regular customer and shop here once every 10 days. My repeated experience at the meat section have been extremely disappointing. The two men working there have consistently been rude, disrespectful, making me feel intimidated. During my visit today I finally spoke to the owner, who explained that the issue might be because I ask for meat to be packed in bags , which he claimed is " not their policy" . However , this policy is not displayed anywhere in the store and I was never informed about it before. The owner even admitted they would only start displaying the policy from tomorrow. Regardless of the store policy, there is no excuse for treating the customers badly. AS A WOMAN, I FELT UNCOMFORTABLE AND INTIMIDATED BY THE BEHAVIOR OF THE STAFF. I was also asked questions about my ORIGIN and NATIONALITY, which made me feel DISCRIMINATORY and UNACCPETABLE.

It's basically a butcher store. Great place for buying FRESH meat. Chicken, Lamb, Goat, Beef, etc. They even have some marinated meats. Also ground meat that they grind fresh for you. They also have like a grocery store that sells a variety of stuff from vegetable, fruits, canned stuff, crackers/cookies, ethnic breads, etc...but not a big store for these things.

Zam zam market has absolutely horrible customer service. They sell expired food items that l've seen many times and other people have noted. It's an extreme food safety hazard that can shut the store down. Secondly the owner is very disrespectful I went there to get sweets and the owner threw a tantrum and became extremely toxic rude and disrespectful with no manners of communicating. The manager was nice and apologized on behalf of the owner and asked me to stay as a customer but I said I will never return. There are hundreds of small businesses like this in the bay area all with great customer service unlike this. I will never return here again. Never recommending this story to anyone. Horrible customer service and expired products. If you care about your health don't go to this store.

I just arrived home from store and I got 3 pieces of cookies I opened the box and whole cookie has mold. I usually try to give business to local stores but I am very dissatisfied by quality in this store. I got a bite of cookies before I recognize the mold. Selling these cookies can have health consequences in addition to money cost for the consumer. I don’t recommend this store.

I came here for fresh meat. I got ground chicken and ground beef. I was served quickly and personally. I also got some bones and chicken skins for my dog. My dog is super happy! I noticed they have kebabs meat and tandoori chicken ready for you to grill. They have a bakery too. I got fresh thin bread. I will come back here to explore more.
